Vecchia Cantinawas founded in 1937 in Tuscany a group of 14 connoisseurs of good Italian wine. For 70-odd years Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano has turned into one of the largest wineries in the region, which boasts not only for its rich history, but also the great wines, created by unique methods of farming. The farm has a huge area of land: 280 acres set aside for crops for wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, 120 hectares – for wines Rosso di Montepulciano, 340 hectares – for wines Chianti, 70 hectares – for wines Valdichiana and 25 hectares – for wines Cortona. In the remaining areas of the grapes are grown for local and table wines. The main grape varieties farms for red wines are Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz; for white – Trebbiano, Malvasia, Grechetto, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
